47th SPACE COAST ART FESTIVAL

This is our last show for the year and what better place to be than Downtown Cocoa Beach, participating in the 47th Space Coast Art Festival. We will be at booth #229 located on S. Brevard Ave just past the Minuteman Causeway. In addition to over 200 fabulous artist exibitions there will also be a student art show, a hands on craft area for the younger set and live music.
Look for us this Saturday from 9 to 5 or on Sunday from 10 to 5.
Truly a feast for all the senses. See you there!

Halifax Art Festival

Looks to be a beautiful weekend for stopping by the 48th Annual Halifax Art Festival in Daytona Beach. We are in booth #83, located on Beach Street, between Magnolia Ave and the International Speedway. In addition to hundreds of artists, there is a Kidz art zone, an old fashioned country store, and a Humane Society pet adoption area. Don't miss out on the live music and great food.
The festival runs on Saturday from 9am to 5pm and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Looking forward to seeing you there this weekend.

We will be one of 4 featured artists at FABCO presents ART 4 KIDS, a charity event ,Thursday, October 28th at CIRCA Restaurant, 358 N. Park Ave, Winter Park from 6pm to 9pm.
This event sponsored by the French American Business Council of Orlando will be raising funds for the Russell Home, and the local Jaycees.
Your $15 ticket includes a drink and appetizer, and a chance to purchase art work from an exclusive group of artists.

Cocoa Village Art Festival

Off to historic Cocoa Village, located downtown Cocoa between U.S. 1 and the Indian River for the fall art festival.

MELBOURNE MAINSTREET FALL FESTIVAL

We are kicking off the fall art show season in Melbourne, Fl this Saturday and Sunday, Oct 2nd and 3rd. We will be one of 132 exhibitors, and the event will also include a student art show, a craft show, and showcases for technology, innovation, health, beauty and other arts.

Name This Painting

At this stage the background has been 75% completed, now it's time to create the detail of the green back turtle. I have masked off the background, not only to prevent over spray but also when I look at the painting, I focus on just the turtle.

NAME THIS PAINTING

This 24 x 30 acrylic on canvas image of a green sea turtle will be added to my Sea Life series, but it needs a name. So from now thru Aug. 31st send in your suggestions, and feel free to ask any questions about my technique and painting process. The winner will receive the artist's proof, which is the 1st image reproduced. Check back weekly to see my progress.

Sorry for Delay

It has been awhile since I have been able to add to the blog, am trying to finish the website, (who knew there were so many decisions to make), create new art work for the fall events and complete commissioned pieces.

Keep an eye out for a name that image contest, larger pieces, and a realistic sea life series.

WEB SITE NEARS COMPLETION

The web site will be up and running by the end of June. Please bear with the blog as the construction of the web site is nearing completion. Once the site is up you will see some of my new works , have an easier time finding information about me , my artwork and event locations.

Sign up for email notifications on the web site and you will be among the first to see new works, have an opportunity to help name one of my new images and win an artist's proof of that image, receive invitations to gallery events and be able to purchase limited edition works before they are available to the general public.

Melbourne Art Show

A great big thanks to all who visited the Melbourne Art Show this past weekend. After a 5K run/walk the art show got under way. There was fabulous art, large crowds and good feedback on my new pieces of art. As always the most popular piece was my "Going Surfin" image and my surfing turtles. Upcoming Event

This Saturday, Jan. 23rd head out to Flagler Ave in New Smyrna Beach and enjoy the monthly "Flagler Ave Art Walk". In addition to browsing the galleries, listening to musicians , watching street performers and observing fellow artists at their craft, there will also be face painting and wine sampling, something for everyone. Look for my booth, mention this blog and receive a package of my new art cards. The "Art Walk" is from 10am to 6pm.
