Space Coast Festival

This was one of those perfect fall weekends. We were at one of our favorite beach locations, surrounded by enthusiastic art lovers all eager to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Space Coast Art Festival.
Two of my paintings, "Rad Moves" and "Going Surfing" brought smiles and nods of understanding as they portray Space Coast living at its best, surfing and the beach, with green sea turtles as the main characters.
Thank you to all who stopped by the booth, your comments and purchase of my art validates the long hours in my studio.
A great big thanks to the Space Coast Committee for all their hard work.

IN THE PARK WITH ART

This past weekend we participated in the 19th Annual "In The Park With Art" show held in Palmetto Bay. The location had changed from previous years, to the Palmetto Bay Village Center, a great venue to have an event. We enjoyed meeting the art savvy crowd and are appreciative of the wonderful volunteers, who helped make this a show a success. Can not wait to return next year!

Melbourne Art Show

Thanks to all who visited me and commented on my art this weekend. I was very excited to display my two new pieces of work, "Going Surfing" and "Vintage Shelly". The "Going Surfing" piece, also referred to as the animals in the "Woody" was a show hit.
I apologize for not having prints available at the Melbourne show, but will have them before the end of October. Also available at that time will be "Vintage Shelly", the girl turtle with the surfboard, and the camel .
For all of you who were kind enough to leave your email,or expressed an interest in prints of my art work there will be no shipping charge when you place your order.
Look under art show schedule for my upcoming shows. Thanks!!

The judges for the Melbourne Main Street Masters of Art honored me with an Award of Merit for "Jelani", my gorilla piece. Thank you for the recognition.

New Work

For the summer months I will be creating works for the holidays as well as the fall shows. I am currently finishing a tiger, an elephant scene and sketching another whimsical turtle. Also in progress are several commissioned pieces.

Trip Up North

The Montauk Art show held over Memorial Day Weekend was a great success! Even though the weather varied each day, high winds, fog bank and sunny and pleasant, we had a good turnout. I appreciated the positive comments on my signature piece, the gorilla; as an artist feedback is always welcome.

The Art Show at Nomahegan Park, New Jersey also had fabulous weather and a large crowd. For these two shows I had custom framed several of the giclees, and they proved to be very popular.

Thanks to all who stopped by and commented, viewed or purchased my art work. I am looking forward to returning up north soon.

Brevard Zoo Auction

A sister to Lulu (our popular giraffe in the Savanna Series), Lila was recently auctioned off at the Brevard Zoo's "Safari Under the Stars" auction to benefit the zoo. I was honored to be able to be a part of the conservation efforts for the zoo. Lila is especially appropriate at this zoo you can feed the giraffes and even see them on a live web cam.
